Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we collect when you use Zira Technologies Inc, or Zira (herein referred to as “we” or “our”) sites, services, mobile applications, products, and content including the Bounce Back website and mobile applications (“Services”). It also has information about how we store, use, transfer, and delete that information. Our aim is not just to comply with privacy law. It’s to earn your trust.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT & HOW WE USE IT
Zira doesn’t make money from ads. So we don’t collect data in order to advertise to you. The tracking we do at Zira is to make our product work as well as possible.
In order to give you the best possible experience using Zira, we collect information from your interactions with our products. Some of this information, you actively tell us (such as your email, phone number, address, which we use to establish your account or communicate with you).
Other information, we collect based on actions you take while using Zira, such as what pages you access and your interactions with our product features (like schedules, auto-scheduler, pay, team and communicate). This information includes records of those interactions, your Internet Protocol address, information about your device (such as device or browser type, or mobile device UUID), and referral information.
We use this information to:
- provide, test, improve, promote and personalize Zira Services
- prevent duplicitous accounts, and ensure only you have access to your account
- generate aggregate, non-identifying information about how people use Zira Services
- When you create your Zira account, and authenticate with your phone number we may collect, store, and periodically use your phone number, when requested by you or an admin user related to your account to notify you of changes to your account or help you access your unique PIN code or reset your account password.
FACIAL RECOGNITION
Zira uses Microsoft’s Azure cognitive services to power our Facial Recognition features. Zira’s facial verification system stores a single image of the user to compare facial data in Microsoft’s system. Please reference the Microsoft Trust Center for more details regarding the privacy policy for stored data and the strict guidelines for user data under which Microsoft stores Face API data.
Microsoft does not store any information used to verify employees, and mathematical representations used to identify and compare faces is only transmitted and used at the time of verification to provide a match score.
At any time, users can request that their Facial Verification data (comparison image) be removed either by deleting their Zira account, requesting that their manager clear Face Verification in the Manager Dashboard, or sending the request to our Zira support team via the in-app support chat, the live chat here on Zira.ai or by email team@zira.ai.
MOBILE DEVICE LOCATION TRACKING
Zira’s mobile apps including but not limited to the Zira Workforce application, Zira Manager Application, Zira Portal, and TeamBridge mobile application on iOS, Android or any other platform where published may collect location informations based on the settings of the organization or organizations to which the current user’s account belongs.
Information collected includes location data to verify the users current location at the time of specific actions that require it, including time clock actions. As per the account settings we may also collect real-time route tracking data during worked hours, and may also use native device features to identify when a user has entered or exited a specified area to provide timely notifications.
INFORMATION DISCLOSURE
Zira won’t transfer information about you to third parties for the purpose of providing or facilitating third-party advertising to you. We won’t sell information about you.
We may share your account information with third parties in some circumstances, including: (1) with your consent; (2) to a service provider or partner who meets our data protection standards; (3) when we have a good faith belief it is required by law, such as pursuant to a subpoena or other legal process; (4) when we have a good faith belief that doing so will help prevent imminent harm to someone.
If we are going to share your information in response to a legal process, we’ll give you notice so you can challenge it (for example by seeking court intervention), unless we’re prohibited by law or believe doing so may endanger others. We will object to requests for information about users of our services that we believe are improper.
BOUNCE BACK BY ZIRA
The team at Zira will do its best to keep content updated and relevant to the best of our abilities, however by using this product you must understand that it is your responsibility to do what is best for you or in the case of our employer product you and your business. The Bounce Back product is meant to surface relevant links and content in an effort to help you track which items you have already taken action on. By no means does Zira advise any individual or business to solely rely on the information provided in this product.
By using any Zira Technologies Inc, or Zira (herein referred to as “we” or “our”) sites, services, mobile applications, products, and content including the Bounce Back website and mobile applications (“Services”) you agree not to hold Zira or our Services liable for any financial loss, incorrect course of action taken, as well as any and all liabilities that occur as a result of using the information provided on the Bounce Back by Zira Services or any of the non-affiliate third party sites and/or content linked to from our Services.
THIRD-PARTY EMBEDS
Some of the content that you see displayed on Zira is not hosted by Zira. These “embeds” are hosted by a third-party and embedded in Zira. For example, YouTube or Vimeo videos, Imgur or Giphy gifs, SoundCloud audio files, Twitter tweets, GitHub code, or Scribd documents that appear within a Zira broadcast.
These files send data to the hosted site just as if you were visiting that site directly (for example, when you load a Zira broadcast with a YouTube video embedded in it, YouTube receives data about your activity). Zira does not control what data third parties collect in cases like this, or what they will do with it. So, third-party embeds on Zira are not covered by this privacy policy. They are covered by the privacy policy of the third-party service.
TRACKING & COOKIES
We use browser cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you return to our Services. We use them in various ways, for example, to log you in, remember your preferences (such as default language), evaluate email effectiveness, and personalize content and other information.
Zira doesn’t track you across the Internet. We track only your interactions within the Zira services (which encompasses Zira.ai and custom domains hosted by Zira) and the Zira employee mobile application.
Some third-party services that we use to provide the Zira Service, such as Google Analytics, may place their own cookies in your browser. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by Zira only and not the use of cookies by third parties.
MODIFYING OR DELETING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
If you have a Zira account, you can access, modify or delete your account here.
To protect information from accidental or malicious destruction, we may maintain residual copies for a brief time period. But, if you delete your account, your information and content will be unrecoverable after that time. Zira may preserve and maintain copies of your information when required to do so by law.
DATA SECURITY
We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data transmitted to and from our site. However, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee security. You use the Service at your own risk, and you’re responsible for taking reasonable measures to secure your account.
BUSINESS TRANSFERS
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, reorganization or sale of assets such that your information would be transferred or become subject to a different privacy policy, we’ll notify you in advance so you can opt out of any such new policy by deleting your account before transfer.
EMAIL FROM ZIRA
Sometimes we’ll send you emails about your account, service changes or new policies. You can’t opt out of this type of “transactional” email (unless you delete your account). But, you can opt out of non-administrative emails such as digests, newsletters, and activity notifications through your account’s “Settings” page.
When you interact with an email sent from Zira (such as opening an email or clicking on a particular link in an email), we may receive information about that interaction. We won’t email you to ask for your password or other account information. If you receive such an email, please send it to us so we can investigate.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Zira may periodically update this Policy. We’ll notify you about significant changes to it. The most current version of the policy will always be here and we will archive former versions of the policy here.
